Well! its perhaps the tough decision which most people would find which one to choose to gift or for yourself.There are quite a lot of options though my top 3 include
Amazon Kindle Barnes & Noble Inc’s Nook
Kindle DX
Sony’s The Daily Edition 
Amazon kindle was the first to bring this new revolution and straight forward opening a new segment. It has a 9.7 inch display(Very good quality), a querty keyboard , average looks and costs around $489 way too much for a ebook reader.
Sony the Daily Edition isnt very impressive either it has a 7-inch touch-screen display and is smaller and cheaper than amazon kindle at $399.99. Looks nice just like a book not like an electronic gadget.
Barnes and Noble’s Nook is certainly my choice among the ebook reader category, it is a sleek gadget, with better looks in its category, costs around $259 and has a 7 inch screen display with a touch screen keyboard and search panel and control panel. More over it is Android powered device.Battery life is pretty awesome and best in its category.
It can certainly beat all the ebook readers in its category.
The next competition i am looking forward to is between Apple Tables and Nook.
