The latest technology about to come in Monitors is Virtual Desktop. The Electronics gaint LG recently in a joint venture with NComputing Inc is going to introduce “Virtualisation” in desktop monitors.Virtualization refers to technology that allows one computer to perform the work of many machines. The computing solution provided by NComputing will further drive the acceleration towards desktop virtualization and ‘cloud computing’ in which computing is centralised and done over the Web.The new LG SmartVine N-series monitors with NComputing’s virtualization solutions will enable up to 11 people to share a single PC.

The LG product would incorporate Keyboard,mouse,audio and USB sockets and would be connected to a centralised CPU.An NComputing X550 PCI Card Kit with vSpace software enables the host PC to connect to five additional monitors.The software by NComputing would be installed as a service(SaaS) on the CPU thereby enabling many persons to work on the same computer.
LG belives that this move would not only enable corporations to cut down on their ITcosts but this technology can also lower their computer hardware costs by 60 per cent, maintenance costs by 70 per cent and electricity costs by 90 percent .
