HP-Pavilion-001HP Pavilion dv2-1030ea is a sleek and ultrathin notebook. The notebook which has got a glossy and sturdy look comes with Athlon Neo MV-40 single-core processor running at 1.6GHz. The notebook has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 chip, with its own 512MB of memory, though the processor might not be a good choice for considering this notebook for gaming the ATI chip provides enough to make picture and graphic viewing an amzing experience.
While it has 12.1inch LED screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution it has a slightly heavier weight of about 1.7kg compared to other notebooks lying in almost the same category such as MSI X-340 and the Asus UX30.
The notebook comes with Windows Vista Home Premium . The biggest drawback, it has a very low battery life which ranges somewhere between 2 hours to 3 hours and another one is the shiny mettalic mousepad which looks quite good but becomes annoyingly difficult to use.
Other options available , the dv2z which is a newer upgraded model, which roughly doubles the battery life to a claimed 4 hours 45 minutes with a 6-cell battery.

However there are complaints from users that the “faux chrome” scratches too easily to reveal a black plastic beneath the surface and the Glossy keyboard is more of an annoying feature than the looks!
