RACE’09:Racing games to watch out for in 2009

FUEL
Take Motostorm, and put it in massive 5000km open world free for you to roam and explore. You get FUEL, just like being on the Himalayan raid, except you have massive tornado rolling up behind you, or an electric storm to navigate through.FUEL adds to your experience by Aggressive styling, Unique performance and surface specific handling.
With 70 different vehicles, be ready to race around on the highest snow capped mountains to the deepest of Canyons.
MOTOSTORM : ARCTIC EDGE
The successful Motostorm series is colling off in Arctic Edge and coming on to the PSP. Take your dirt racing to the white dangerous unpredictable snow of Alaska.Pep up your boring bur journeys freestyling across the ice, sledging off opponents into little bits of machine parts.
Animation is terrific. You will see an addition of two new vehicles in this series: the Snow Cat and the Snow Plow.
GRAN TURISMO 5
The most relasitic looking car racing sim out there.Period.Last year you got a satisfying taste of it with Prologue. Featuring some realistic and beautiful looking cars, with terrifying realistic handling.
RACE PRO
Filling in the void between Gran Turismo’s and Forza’s is Race Pro.It touts unbelievable physics and a realistic sensation of speed with some 350 car models.A fantastic looking game, with online multiplayer.
THE WHEELMAN
The Fast and the Furious superstar, Vin Diesel is back behind the wheel.Set in an open world Barcelona, you can dodge the mob through alleys, crowded streets just like in Ronin. The game also features on foot action missions, but who cares about that.
NEED FOR SPEED : SHIFT
Another year, another Need for Speed. Hopefully this time they get it right after the flaming farce that was NFS Undercover.Especially since they turn to last year’s extremely successful and cool Grid to ape.Expect some cool cars, very realistic tracks and handling and lots of serious simulation.
