LinkedIn has recently acquired CardMunch, which was recently listed in top 10 must have apps for the iPhone on quora.com. CardMunch would now become a free service, interestingly CardMunch does not apply any digital face recognition or similar algorithms, instead it is a manual process where each card is reviewed by many workers. In CardMunchs words every card is “transcribed, edited and reviewed by multiple workers to guarantee accuracy”. This is a cool app but it should be open for all users apart from those who use Apple products.
