Google search algorithm update: Good or Bad for small bloggers

The recent news of Google making a big update in its search algorithm which would impact as much as 11.8% of the traffic has not caused any stir in the SEO market. The update is believed to aim at promoting sites producing original content, but wasn’t it always there? The big sites such as Ezine articles, Demand media which produce more than a thousand articles daily dominate roughly every search ranking. There is less and less scope in SERP’S for small blogger s who put in first hand review and information based on their experience. Another factor is the internal linking of the top websites to promote each other and there is no one to contradict or verify the original source of the information.

On many occasions a big site copies content from a smaller one but since it has higher reputation the smaller site is penalized in search engine rankings. How much Google is able to able to address this issue we’ll have to wait and watch.

is aimed at promoting sites producing original content

Definitely it is a bad news to pro bloggers, I have seen their rankings fall down. They would now have to depend upon themselves to generate content. This new update avoids content repetition or spam on the internet.
