There can be many ways of handling a VISTA crash.
VISTA Crash is actually an application crash that occurs due to various reasons.The causes of the crash can be programming errors, compatibility issues, background application error and other.

Follow the steps to handle crash and bring back your Windows back.

1. See if the application crashed has automatically terminated. If no terminate the application using task manager.Task Manager can be selected by pressing “Ctrl+alt+delete”.Select the application and “End Task”.

2. After the crashed application has terminated, do remember to save your work on any open applications.

3. Restart your PC/Laptop.

According to wikipedia “Malware is a malicious software, consists of programming (code, scripts, active content, and other software) designed to disrupt or deny operation, gather information that leads to loss of privacy or exploitation, gain unauthorized access to system resources, and other abusive behavior”.

I have spent hundred of hours working for my website…at first, i thought it’s all over for me…
But one of my trick did it and solved this malware problem.

If you have any of your website infected you can try this solution…i cannot guarantee it will work but it might work for you also as it did for me

1. Scan you website with this .

2. If this sitecheck shows any malware, note the source of the file infected.My problem was with one of the wordpress “wp-includes” file.

3. Then i compared the original wordpress file and this file and to my horror i found unlimited junk numbers.This was the malware which got my site infected.It was encrypted so my antivirus could not detect this.

4. I deleted this file from the wp-includes folder and replaced it with the new file by downloading a fresh wordpress and fetching the same file from it.

5. Checked my site again on the sitecheck and the malware was gone…..

If you are a programmer and you love PHP, you know how important it is to have a good code editor. A good php code editing software would not only increase your efficiency but also help in overcoming the “WTF’s” which one experiences while coding. Most of WTF’s are encountered while debugging the code in the form of syntax errors and your dependence on Google when you forget some basic functions. Unfortunately, when it comes to debugging there aren’t many code editors which really help you.

I have been searching for  a PHP code editing software for quite sometime now and my search finally stopped at PHPDesigner. But then I switched to mac and my search began again. My experiences with all the popular php editing software’s have been really intensive. I do not claim to have used all the code editors but here is my list of popular code editors with their shortcomings [ I don't think praising softwares really help because you can find it on their websites ].

1. PHPDesigner: The best software for PHP I have used so far. So this is the benchmark to compare rest code editors.

2. CODA: Second best in the list but my honest opinion, it is at-least 3 steps below php designer and no where close to PHPdesigner. Firstly it does not show syntax errors and it is a real pain to remove the syntax errors without any help from the software. Secondly, it does not auto-complete php statements and brackets which impacts the speed of programming. Thirdly, it only shows the corresponding bracket only when you move over the first one so if your brackets are far apart there is no way to debug and check whether the corresponding closing bracket exists or not.

3. DreamWeaver: It is a very good platform to build websites but somehow I was not at ease with it, to develop sites faster you have to learn dreamweaver [shorthand s] which makes you more dependent on that software. I do not feel it is worth the price at which it comes.

4. NetBeans, Aptana Studio: Excellent choice for full project development but these are heavy weight project development tools which consume a lot of memory. I was afraid to try them out, though as per other users these are one of the best in their category, including the real time syntax checking.

5. Smultron: Smultron is one of the better value for money software. Though it had useful syntax highlighting but it lacked real time syntax check for PHP.

6. SkEdit: It is one of those softwares which have been designed for HTML/CSS designers but not of PHP developers. Though it had a very good left side navigation but it lacked real time syntax checking and syntax highlighting, therefore I had to give up.

7. Emacs,  TextWrangler, EditPlus: Free softwares with some useful functionality such as search and replace and color coding but do not have the syntax check not debugging help.

I am yet to try some more text editing softwares and would update this post with them. Please post your experience and your recommendation for some good PHP IDE software.

Meanwhile, I have removed Windows Vista from my old Toshiba Laptop and installed Windows Xp. Now, I have PhpDesigner installed in it. I must say this is the best php IDE, I have ever worked on.

If you are a Windows Vista user a stage would come in your life when you would look for other alternatives for Operating Systems, just to get rid of Windows Vista. Today, was the day for me. And since my previous experience with xp was good, I thought of installing Windows xp form my Vista PC. But unfortunately installing Windows XP is not an easy job especially if your CD ROM isn’t functioning and you are unaware of small but critical changes to be done. By default XP does not come with USB boot, so you have to install a software to create a bootable flash dirve using another Windows machine.

I found a really helpful software called WintoFlash, this software was recommended on every site and it showed me how to create a bootable flash drive with just few clicks. There is another method you can check it out here.

If you are going for a complete install, my recommendation is to format the whole hard disk and flush out everything by removing the MBR.. more information.

It has been just two weeks after the Mircosoft bought Skype for $8.5 billion and the impact is now slowly being felt over. Skype has crashed worldwide and is unavailable for past few hours. There are fears that Skype might have suffered theDenial of service attack like the attack on the Sony servers in the past week .

This is not the first time Skype has been down, previous incidents include a recent unavailability of service for almost 24 hours in December,2010. However, the most popular VOIP service today, Skype has become lifeline for more than 20 million users. With numerous Android and iPhone apps using Skype services, Skype is also seen as a threat to the telecom companies. How well is Microsoft able to utilize its resources and maintain the consistency of Skype remains to be seen.

There are rumors that this might have been the act of Wikileaks as the purpose of hacking was not profit but information. Whatever be the reason, if one of the most secure networks in the world can be hacked then there is no reason to believe that we all are also vulnerable on the internet.

So let me just ask you who do you think is unethical when the software is cracked? Is is the programmer who has cracked the software? Is it the Student/developer who uses the software to enhance it further? Or Is it actually the user who uses this product?

In my view, it is actually the user or the end consumer who uses this unethical product despite knowing that it is cracked. If you believe that programmers who crack are thieves then you are really misjudging them, because a thief stoles for his own benefit, where as these programmers distribute without any personal benefit.

The benefit which people get out of this is that one can be aware of the fact that whether a product is over priced or not. I suggest that every user must try out stuff from these sites but when you intend to use it commercially then its the user’s responsibility to buy the product and support the developer.
