StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

The legacy it followed of being in the top 10 strategy games of all time along with the tag of Starcraft, latest game from Blizzard Entertainment gave it the publicity and promotion and there were a lot of expectations. While one has to say that game has transformed from 2D to 3D and most of the animations and graphics are more smooth and fine but still the biggest inconvenience that users seems to have is that they consider the game incomplete. Also people are reporting that game installation is a tedious process and some people have not been able to install it as it asks users to register online even if you are playing solo.[more]

About the Game

StarCraft II is split into three installments: the base game with the subtitle Wings of Liberty, and two expansion packs, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. While Wings of Liberty focusses on Terrans ,Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void will focus on the Zerg and Protoss. The sad part is that the story is incomplete without these two parts which are not yet released.Having said that there is also enough room and a very strong story line up in the solo campaigns. The current release “Wings of Liberty” game is more or less same as previous version , with few upgrades and return of old characters. The game has fine graphics and smoother animations along with narration of story in between missions. New units are unlocked as you clear missions during game play. Another new thing is that now you can align your army in various forms and hire mercs for a fee by Raynor. But the best part of any Blizzard game is the amazing line of events which exists in this too.

There is news that the second part Heart of the Swarm would have some RPG elements. Well Blizzard seems to have cashed most on its brand Starcraft but a long sequel of one of the best games might not be the best strategy .

Project Natal now Official : Microsoft Kinetic , Kinect

Ever thought of gaming without console, imagine yourself as a fighter and the only way to survive in the game is using your own hands and legs to fight. Project Natal specs was leaked last year and you might remember the awesome videos, take a look below:

It uses the skeletal mapping technology which is capable of 3D motion detection , making it one of the most advanced technologies to enter in the gaming industry.

You would be able to see a demo of Kinect in E3 2010 expo on June 15-17. .. more information

Project Natal which is officially named as “Kinect” would have a camera with facial recognition capabilities, a microphone and not only would it replace your normal television (as it can play both movies and cable)but you would be playing games using your hand and legs actions .

Kinect expected to release in last quarter of 2010.

Prince of Persia : Now of iPhone/iPod

Gameloft’s another sizzler, this time its the much awaited Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Recently Gameloft has released its ingame trailer. The game’s screenshots were released earlier this month (in May) and now the trailer.

The game Prince of Persia Warrior Within is all set to release for iPhone,iPods on June 3rd.

EA(Electronic Arts) Sports the leading computer game manufacturer has turned things around by selling 1.6 million copies in Europe and Asia ,its yet to enter America.The Game FIFA 10 has a new engine and much improved graphics along with support for gaming on the internet.It also has a feature where you can upload you picture on a player through a feature called VirtualPro and this EA believes has been the emotional touch which marked it success this year.

Which is bound to be a hit , with the coming of the new iPhone 3GS which has superior hardware ,Gameloft haswill certainly be introducing better graphics and game modes. Well , its a long wait before the release.
