Nikon has recently announced 4 new digital cameras in the Coolpix point-and-shoot range. The Pico Projector model is numbered the S1000pj and features touchscreen controls.
The latest innovation in the digital camera section has arrived.The Nikon  S1000PJ allows you to use the camera as a projector and throw images on to any nearby wall. Nikon call it the “Personal Theater on the go”.

The screen it can project is up to about 40 inches ,Includes a 12.1 megapixel CCD, 5x wide angle zoom NIKKOR glass lens. ISO from 64 – 6.4K and a 2.7 inch LCD display. The Coolpix S1000pj will launch in September and cost $429.95.

This looks like a new begining in the digital camera  section though such innovations pose a great show, I have some doubts on their utility.
