504x_apple-tabletApple Tablet might be launched in the September this year ,along with the new iPod’s [with Camera] as stated by the Financial Times. The talks come as Apple is separately racing to offer a portable, full-featured, tablet-sized computer in time for the Christmas shopping season, in what the entertainment industry hopes will be a new revolution. The device could be launched alongside the new content deals, including those aimed at stimulating sales of CD-length music, according to people briefed on the project.

Apple is working with EMI, SonyMusic, Warner Music and Universal Music Group, on a project the company has codenamed “Cocktail”, according to four people familiar with the situation.[source:Gizmodo]
The tablet would have a 10 inch touch screen and would run on iPhone OS and it can also connect to internet like the iPod and it would also have a book marketplace . This clearly suggests that Apple is trying to enter the ebook reader market by building a multipurpose device which would not only compete  most of the eBook reader’s available in the market today but also give an added advantage of touch and the class of Apple. In the current market of eBooks , a major share belongs to Amazon Kindle which has improved quite significantly but will it retain its share once Apple enters its Domain, it remains to be seen!
